TLDR: Choose from three HighLevel AI pricing plans: Pay-Per-Use, Growth or Unlimited. AI Employee costs extra beyond your platform plan, and Phone System usage, Agent Studio and certain workflow actions still bill separately on Unlimited.

AI Employee Unlimited costs you $97 per enabled location per month at the HighLevel list price as of October 9, 2026, but fair use applies and Phone System usage, Agent Studio and certain workflow actions still bill separately.

You found an AI charge beside your platform subscription. Your bill still shows usage charges despite the word Unlimited. You buy AI Employee separately from your platform plan, and your AI plan covers only its listed products. This guide gives you the prices and steps to trace charges and block extra AI usage.

I read HighLevel’s AI pricing guide, its usage dashboard guide and its usage limits guide before writing this, and you should compare Billing Coverage with Charged to Wallet. HighLevel’s pricing page carried these rates on October 9, 2026. Compare the platform pricing plans, then confirm your in-app pricing before changing billing.

What are the HighLevel AI pricing plans?

HighLevel bills AI Employee Growth and Unlimited per enabled location.

HighLevel gives your location three AI choices: Pay-Per-Use, Growth and Unlimited. The HighLevel list price as of October 9, 2026 is $50 a month per sub-account for AI Employee Growth and $97 a month per sub-account for AI Employee Unlimited. The separate platform subscriptions cost $97 a month for Starter, $297 a month for Unlimited and $497 a month for Agency Pro on the pricing page.

AI plan Monthly charge and included usage
Pay-Per-Use No monthly AI subscription fee. HighLevel bills supported activity by usage, including Conversation AI input and output tokens.
AI Employee Growth $50 per enabled location per month. Includes 1,000 Conversation AI responses and 100 Voice AI minutes per month.
AI Employee Unlimited $97 per enabled location per month. Includes unlimited Conversation AI, Voice AI, Reviews AI and Content AI, subject to fair use.

Inbound calls, outbound calls and the voice widget share your Growth voice allowance. The AI Product Pricing guide, updated September 28, 2026, documents the allowances above and bills additional Growth usage at applicable pay-per-use rates. Your usage-limit setting determines whether AI continues after Growth’s allowance ends.

Your platform includes CRM, email marketing, SMS marketing, workflow automation and reputation management features. AI Employee appears separately under optional add-ons. Pay-per-use Conversation AI counts input and output tokens, including conversation history and knowledge-base content, so compare recorded usage and model rates.

What does AI Employee Unlimited cover?

A business owner on a phone call in her office, from our HighLevel AI pricing guide
Agent Studio remains pay-per-use on AI Employee Unlimited.

Your Unlimited subscription covers supported Conversation AI, Voice AI, Reviews AI and Content AI, subject to fair use. Phone System charges remain separate, and Agent Studio stays pay-per-use on every plan. The AI tools guide, updated October 5, 2026, also separates included workflow-building assistance from separately priced premium actions and external models.

Product or activity What Unlimited means for your bill
Conversation AI and Voice AI Unlimited supported AI usage, subject to fair use. Phone calls still incur separate Phone System charges.
Reviews AI and Content AI Unlimited supported usage, subject to fair use. Growth includes this coverage too.
Ask AI and AI Studio Three times Growth’s included usage capacity within a rolling five-hour window.
Managed Agents 1,000 runs per month on Unlimited, compared with 100 on Growth.
Conversation AI and Voice AI Prompt Optimizers Unlimited usage, subject to fair use. Growth has defined message or minute allowances.
Funnel & Website AI Free with a limit of 1,000 prompts per day per location across all plans.
Email AI and Knowledge Base Included at no additional cost across all plans, subject to fair use.
Agent Studio Pay-per-use, including on Unlimited.
Workflow AI The builder and Generate with AI are free with limits. Premium actions and external models have separate pricing.

Your AI Studio allowance does not cover Agent Studio. AI Studio creates web experiences such as landing pages, while Agent Studio manages AI agent logic and tools. Check the product name when reviewing a charge for your funnels or automation workflows.

Ask AI and AI Studio limit your usage within a rolling five-hour window. The AI glossary, updated September 9, 2026, gives Unlimited three times Growth’s capacity. Requests have no fixed usage amount or charge because task complexity, context, models and output affect usage.

How does Voice AI affect HighLevel AI pricing?

A business owner answers a call at her home office desk, from our HighLevel AI pricing guide
Phone System charges remain separate from Voice AI coverage.

Your traditional pay-per-use Voice AI bill includes voice processing, speech generation, model tokens and phone charges. The September 28, 2026 pricing guide gives this formula: call duration in minutes × (Voice Engine rate + selected text-to-speech rate) + model-token cost + applicable Phone System charges. The Voice Engine component is $0.045 per minute, effective 2026-05-20.

Your selected speech provider and AI model affect the remaining charges. The Voice AI pricing breakdown lists OpenAI text-to-speech at $0.015 per minute. Speech-to-speech uses separate bundled AI rates: $0.10 per minute for Google and $0.20 per minute for OpenAI. The traditional formula does not apply to those bundles.

Unlimited includes your supported inbound, outbound and widget Voice AI minutes, subject to fair use. The AI Employee access guide, updated September 14, 2026, explicitly keeps the telecommunications portion separately billable. When a call appears on your bill, identify whether the line represents covered AI processing or separate Phone System usage.

Where do you check AI charges and agency rates?

Agency Admins review AI charges in the AI Usage Dashboard.

Your Agency Admin has the detailed AI Usage Dashboard. The dashboard guide, updated September 2, 2026, says location users do not open it from their sub-account. If your agency manages the account, request the breakdown for your location and billing period.

    1. Open Agency View → AI Suite → Usage Dashboard.
    2. Select All Locations and choose your sub-account. Choose 1d, 7d, 30d, 90d, Month or Custom for the reporting period. For Custom, enter start and end dates. Allow the dashboard to refresh with your selection.
    3. Review Total Transactions, Charged to Wallet and Total Tokens Used. Confirm the location and period, then select Show More Details for Billing Coverage, Cost Breakdown and Usage by Product.
    4. In Usage over time, choose Cost, Tokens or Events, then Bar or Line. Select grouping by None, Product, Model or Billing, then an Hourly, Daily, Weekly or Monthly interval.
    5. Scroll to Transactions Table. Use Add Filter, Sort: Date or Group by to narrow or organize records. Select a transaction row and review the Transaction Detail panel on the right, scrolling for additional information.

Billing Coverage separates Total Gross Usage into wallet charges, subscription coverage, promotions and free or zero-charge activity. Charged to Wallet shows the amount charged to the agency wallet. Compare those figures before treating gross usage as money you owe.

HighLevel lets your agency set separate client pricing models for Conversation AI and Voice AI. HighLevel’s fixed-rate rebilling guide, updated August 11, 2026, allows Conversation AI and Voice AI to use independent Markup or Fixed Rate models. A fixed rate sets the price per supported unit, not your entire monthly bill.

    1. For an authorized agency billing change, open Agency View → AI Suite → Plans & Limits.
    2. Find the sub-account, open its three-dot menu and select Configure Rebilling.
    3. Enable the supported product, select its pricing model and rate, review the settings, then click Save Markups.

Your saved rates take effect immediately for future charges. They do not alter past charges. Fixed-rate rebilling leaves HighLevel’s underlying charge to your agency unchanged.

AI Employee usage rebilling requires your agency to have the $497-a-month agency plan, according to the September 14, 2026 access guide. Your agency sells the monthly subscription separately from Agency View → Reselling → Subscriptions → AI Employee, choosing Growth or Unlimited and a client price before selecting Save Changes. For an agency-managed account, read your contract and compare HighLevel list prices with agency charges before asking which subscription price and usage rate apply.

How do you stop additional AI spending?

A business owner writes notes beside his laptop, from our HighLevel AI pricing guide
Block AI at the limit stops AI when usage reaches the configured limit.

You need an enabled spending limit and the setting Block AI at the limit to stop AI at that threshold. HighLevel configures no spending limit by default, according to its AI usage limits guide, updated September 22, 2026. When you enable one, HighLevel defaults to Keep AI running, just notify.

    1. Open Agency View → AI Suite → Plans & Limits.
    2. Select your sub-account or open its three-dot menu, then choose Configure Limits.
    3. Enable a spending limit and enter the amount. Under When the limit is reached, select Block AI at the limit.
    4. On a subscription plan, the Extra usage toggle controls AI separately from the spending limit. Check it too.
    5. To inspect included capacity, select Increase and check Included allowances & Rate Limit Windows.

Your spending limit counts billable pay-per-use activity and subscription overages. Included subscription usage does not consume that limit. Your location’s own configuration overrides the agency default.

Blocking pauses your AI actions and stops new outputs, including those used by customer-facing workflows. Notify affected users before changing this setting. AI resumes when you raise the limit or usage resets at the start of the next calendar month.

The same help page also says, “A sub-account is never billed past its limit,” which conflicts with its explanation that alert-only usage continues. Select Block AI at the limit, then inspect your charges. Do not treat the alert-only option as a firm spending cap.

    HighLevel AI billing FAQ

A fitness studio owner at her front desk, from our HighLevel AI pricing guide
Growth and Unlimited include Reviews AI and Content AI subject to fair use.

How much does HighLevel AI cost per location?

Growth costs you $50 per enabled location per month and Unlimited costs $97. Those plans cover the enabled sub-account, rather than following an agency user between locations. HighLevel’s plan-selection guide, updated September 30, 2026, distinguishes them from AI Agency Assistant, which covers an enrolled agency user.

Is AI pricing included in my HighLevel platform plan?

Your platform subscription and AI Employee subscription are separate purchases. Pay-Per-Use has no monthly AI subscription fee. The September 28, 2026 pricing guide says that option applies to locations without Growth or Unlimited.

What do Pay-Per-Use, Growth and Unlimited include?

Pay-Per-Use bills you for supported activity, with no monthly AI subscription fee. Growth includes 1,000 Conversation AI responses and 100 Voice AI minutes monthly, plus unlimited Reviews AI and Content AI subject to fair use. Unlimited covers supported Conversation AI, Voice AI, Reviews AI and Content AI subject to fair use. The September 28, 2026 pricing guide lists these Pay-Per-Use rates in USD: Content AI at $0.063 per image or $0.0945 per 1,000 words, and Reviews AI at $0.01 per sent AI-assisted reply.

What can still cost extra on AI Employee Unlimited?

Your Phone System usage, Agent Studio, premium workflow actions and external models still bill separately. Ask AI and AI Studio also retain usage windows. The September 9, 2026 glossary says capacity returns as activity leaves the previous five hours, rather than at midnight.

How is a Voice AI call charged?

Your traditional pay-per-use call combines voice processing, speech generation, model tokens and phone charges. Equal-length calls cost different amounts when longer AI replies, more conversational exchanges or larger knowledge-base context increase token use. The September 28, 2026 pricing guide separates these components from bundled speech-to-speech rates.

Why might my agency’s AI price differ from HighLevel’s list price?

Your agency sets its client subscription price and supported usage rates separately. The August 11, 2026 rebilling guide says the invoice shows the product and total charge without labeling the pricing model. Ask whether your charge uses Markup or Fixed Rate.

Where do I check AI charges and control extra spending?

Your Agency Admin opens Usage Dashboard to review charges and Plans & Limits to set limits. If you lack billing access and HighLevel pauses AI at your limit, select Request more usage. The September 22, 2026 limits guide sends that request to agency admins, who review it under AI Suite → Plans and Limits → Notifications → Limit Requests.
