TLDR: GoHighLevel reputation management lets you request reviews by text or email and manage connected Google reviews inside HighLevel. Configure the destination, sender and templates before sending. Invite genuine feedback, offer no incentive and send the request without first separating happy customers from everyone else.

To request Google reviews, connect your verified Google Business Profile under Settings → Integrations, configure Reputation → Settings → Review Link and your SMS or email templates, then choose Send Review Request on a contact to invite genuine feedback without incentives or screening for happy customers.

You have finished serving a customer and want to send a Google review link. You are staring at HighLevel’s review settings, trying to work out which switch starts the request. Set the destination, sender and templates before you send the invitation. Use the steps below to connect Google, set your request templates, add appointment or invoice triggers, follow the review rules and check published costs. I read HighLevel’s Google Business Profile integration guide, its review request messaging guide and its AI product pricing guide before writing this, and found separate controls for the review destination, send timing and paid AI replies.

What does GoHighLevel reputation management do?

Google Business Profile integration requires a verified business profile.

You use it to send review requests, read connected reviews and reply from your CRM. HighLevel’s Google Business Profile integration guide, updated 2026-05-25, says Google reviews sync into Conversations. Review threads and outgoing responses show the associated page name, so check that name before answering for your business.

  1. In your business sub-account, open Settings → Integrations. Sign into the Google account with Owner or Manager access to your location and authorize access.
  2. Find Google Business Profile and click Connect. Verify your Business Profile with Google before you connect it.
  3. Select the correct location, then click Connect again. Check the business name under Connected Pages.
  1. For Facebook, open Settings → Integrations and click Connect on the Facebook-Instagram card.
  2. Log into the correct Facebook account, approve the required permissions and select the correct Facebook Page.
  3. Click Connect and Continue to finish the connection.

Your review widget displays existing feedback on your website or funnels. HighLevel’s widget builder guide, updated 2026-05-25, supports Google and Facebook reviews with platform and rating filters. If you filter reviews, do not call the display a record of all customer feedback.

  1. Open Reputation → Widgets → + Create Widget.
  2. Configure Layout, Content, Appearance and Settings, then click the blue Save button.
  3. For a HighLevel site or funnel, add the Reviews element. For a code embed, click the Code icon → Copy Code and paste into a custom HTML block.

How do you send and automate Google review requests?

Live and Retry templates control the messages used for review requests.

Set your review destination and live templates, then trigger the request. HighLevel’s request messaging guide, updated August 25, 2026, separates these controls from sending. Enabling SMS or email alone does not select the messages your customers receive.

  1. Open Reputation → Settings → Review Link. For a single Google destination, select Custom Link and paste your Google review URL into Setup your custom link. Open the link and confirm that it goes directly to your review form. Review Balancing instead distributes traffic across configured platforms.
  2. Open Reputation → Settings → SMS Requests and enable the top-right toggle. Choose your default sender number, When to send SMS after check-in?, Until clicked, repeat this every and Maximum retries.
  3. Click Create New → Create New from Scratch. Enter a Template Name, write your request, insert {{reputation.review_link}} and click Save.
  4. Click Set SMS Templates, assign your Live and Retry templates, then Save.
  5. For email, open Reputation → Settings → Email Requests and enable the toggle. Select Default sender email, timing and retries. Create your template with the Review Link element, save it, then assign Live and Retry slots through Set Email Templates → Save.
  6. Open your customer’s contact record and choose Send Review Request. Reputation → Requests also supports individual and bulk requests.

Choose the event that starts your review-request workflow. The appointment trigger guide, updated April 6, 2026, defines Showed as attendance. Use Showed for an attended visit, and do not treat attendance, appointment reminders or a booking confirmation as proof that service is finished.

  1. Open Automation → Workflows → + Create Workflow → Add New Trigger → Appointment Status.
  2. Filter Appointment Status to Showed and use In Calendar for the relevant calendar. Click Save.
  3. Add the messaging guide’s Review Request action. Save and publish your workflow.

For your paid-invoice follow-up, use Invoice Status → Paid. The invoice trigger guide, updated 2026-05-12, defines Paid as fully paid and lists Partially Paid separately. Add the Review Request action, and the Paid invoice trigger starts your review request.

  1. Open Automation and create or select your workflow. Click + Add New Trigger → Invoice.
  2. Set Invoice Status → Paid, then add the Review Request action.
  3. Save and activate the workflow.

What does Google allow when you ask for reviews?

Google prohibits selectively soliciting positive reviews.

Ask for genuine feedback without rewards or a positive-rating screen. Google’s review content policy prohibits merchants from doing this: “Discourage or prohibit negative reviews, or selectively solicit positive reviews from customers”. Do not reserve your Google link for customers who first tell you they are happy.

Google permits invitations through a link or QR code in its review request guidance. Its policy allows genuine review requests “without offering incentives to do so or attempting to influence the rating or the contents of the review.” Write your text, email and private-feedback requests without an incentive or an attempt to influence the rating or review.

The FTC’s consumer review rule, published August 22, 2024 and effective October 21, 2024, states in section 465.4: “It is an unfair or deceptive act or practice and a violation of this part for a business to provide compensation or other incentives in exchange for, or conditioned expressly or by implication on, the writing or creation of consumer reviews expressing a particular sentiment, whether positive or negative, regarding the product, service, or business that is the subject of the review.” Confirm your request wording and review practices with your own counsel. For every Google invitation, follow Google’s policy in addition to the FTC rule.

Should Reviews AI answer your reviews for you?

Suggestive mode lets users review and edit AI replies before sending.

Choose suggestive replies when you want to approve the wording before publication. HighLevel’s Facebook Reviews AI announcement says suggestive mode lets you review, edit and send the draft. An automatic agent publishes replies to matching reviews according to its configured rules.

  1. For a Facebook draft, open Reputation → Reviews and click AI Reply. Review and edit the suggested response before sending it.
  2. For automatic Facebook replies, open Reputation → Settings → Reviews AI → Create Agent.
  3. Choose tone, language and review conditions. Under Review Source, select All Facebook pages or specific pages, then save the agent.

Your reply is public, so keep private information out of it. Google’s guidance for negative-review replies says, “Never share a reviewer’s private information or engage in personal attacks.” For a complex issue, ask the reviewer to contact you by phone or email to resolve it privately.

What does GoHighLevel reputation management cost?

HighLevel bills SMS usage by segment, according to its phone pricing guide.

Your monthly subscription and usage charges are separate. HighLevel list price as of October 9, 2026: Starter is $97 a month, Unlimited is $297 a month and Agency Pro is $497 a month on the published plan prices. Online Reputation Management and Workflow Automation are core features included with Starter.

Charge Published amount and billing unit
Reviews AI Pay-Per-Use $0.01 per sent AI-assisted reply, from the AI Product Pricing guide updated September 28, 2026.
AI Employee Growth $50 per month per enabled location, including unlimited Reviews AI subject to fair use, September 28, 2026.
AI Employee Unlimited $97 per month per enabled location, including unlimited Reviews AI subject to fair use, September 28, 2026.
US and Canada SMS US$0.00747 per inbound or outbound segment, before carrier fees, from the phone pricing guide updated September 29, 2026.

Your draft suggestions do not create a Pay-Per-Use charge. The AI pricing guide allows up to four suggestions per review without that charge, as of September 28, 2026. The charge applies when you send an AI-assisted reply.

Budget your SMS marketing by segment. The phone pricing guide adds carrier fees on top of standard messaging rates. For your email marketing and text messaging, the pricing page marks usage charges separately from the subscription.

The HighLevel pricing plans guide compares your available features. If an agency manages your account, read your contract and ask which usage charges appear on your invoice. Use the dental account ownership guide or gym account ownership guide for account-ownership questions in those businesses.

How do I connect Google Business Profile and Facebook to HighLevel?

Your Google connection starts at Settings → Integrations: authorize a Google account with Owner or Manager access, click Google Business Profile → Connect, select your verified location and click Connect. For Facebook, click Connect on the Facebook-Instagram card under Settings → Integrations, log into the correct account, approve the required permissions, select the correct Page and finish with Connect and Continue. The Facebook integration guide, updated 2026-05-25, requires Admin access to both the Page and its associated Business Manager. If Google shows Connected but features fail, open the missing-permissions warning under Settings → Integrations → Google, review the missing permissions and affected features, then click Reconnect.

How do I send a review request by text or email?

After configuring your templates, open the customer’s contact record and choose Send Review Request, or send from Reputation → Requests. Your SMS template uses {{reputation.review_link}}, while email uses the Review Link element. For an existing email design, choose Create New → Import from Template Library. Email designs also support multiple review buttons where the selected template allows them.

How do I automate requests after an appointment or invoice payment?

In your workflow under Automation → Workflows, choose Add New Trigger → Appointment Status and filter to Showed, or choose Invoice and set Invoice Status → Paid. Add the Review Request action, then save and activate the workflow. Your appointment trigger defaults to Contact only under Who should be enrolled into the workflow?. Contact and Guests enrolls the primary contact and each guest in a separate workflow run, so check that setting alongside your Showed filter before publishing.

What do “after check-in,” delays and retries mean?

“After check-in” means after your manual or workflow review request action fires. The delay controls the first send, and Custom repeat intervals accept a number of Days. A detected click stops retries for that channel, so do not count a clicked invitation as a submitted review.

How do I reply to reviews, and should I use suggestive or automatic AI?

Your Google review threads appear in Conversations with the associated business page name. For Facebook automatic replies, the agent’s rules include review type or rating conditions, tone and language. Use suggestive mode if you want to edit each response before you send it.

How do I add a review widget to my website?

Your Reviews element displays the default widget. To embed different widgets on the same site, the widget guide specifies each widget’s own embed code and the correct dropdown selection when copying it. New reviews appear according to your filters and display settings, and saved widget edits update the embedded version.
